JOBSArdgowan Distillery is building an extraordinary new chapter in Scotland’s whisky heritage, and we are seeking Distillery Operators to join us on this exciting journey. As part of a dynamic and innovative team, you will play a vital role in producing the Ardgowan new make spirit, which will mature into The Ardgowan Single Malt.Reporting to our newly appointed Distillery Manager, Laura Davies, you will work closely with an experienced team, contributing to the day-to-day running of our state-of-the-art distillery near Inverkip. This is an opportunity to be part of the commissioning phase of our journey and help shape a brand-new whisky operation from the ground up.
– Be part of the team crafting The Ardgowan new make spirit, which will mature into The Ardgowan Single Malt.
– Work closely with our new Distillery Manager, Laura Davies, during the commissioning phase of the distillery.
– Operate state-of-the-art distillery equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
– Contribute to the growth of an innovative and eco-conscious whisky brand rooted in Scotland’s heritage.
– Manage key production tasks, including malt intake, mashing, distilling, and cask filling.
– Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and maintain meticulous production records.
– Support promotional events, whisky tastings, and community engagement initiatives.
– Operate independently and as part of a collaborative, dynamic team environment.
– A passionate individual with an interest in Scotch single malt and the whisky industry.
– Experience in brewing, distilling, or related sectors (e.g., food production or pharmaceuticals) is desirable but not essential.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
– Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn about bonded premises operations.
